On the Issues

In this section of my website, you will find my views on a number of pressing issues facing our great Commonwealth. I welcome your feedback and look forward to getting to know more about the topics that are important to you.

I also want you to know more about what I believe about challenges we face and the role of government in addressing those challenges:

• I believe that most of the problems we face today were created by people and they can be solved by people who are determined to find common ground and work toward the common good.
• I believe good government is competent government that understands the needs of all its people and works hard every day to give them what they deserve.
• I believe good government has a special responsibility to those who are the least among us and that every one of us must pay our fair share to preserve that pact.
• I believe there is no substitute for excellence and accountability in government.

I have demonstrated that excellence and accountability throughout my life and I will do no less for this District.
