Meet Tim

Tim is a life-long resident of Cambridge, He was one of four children raised in a two-family house by his father, the former Speaker of the House, and his mother, who, after 45 years, continues to work as a registered nurse. After attending Cambridge Public Schools, he graduated from BC High, Boston College and Boston College Law School where he distinguished himself as Best Oral Advocate in the National Mock Trial Competition. He remains at Boston College as an adjunct professor of law.

In 1990, Tim was appointed Assistant District Attorney under now-Congressman William Delahunt. He rose rapidly through the ranks, becoming one of the youngest ADAs to prosecute major felonies including murder, narcotics and other violent crimes. During his tenure, Tim directed both the Narcotics and the Career Criminals Units. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases to jury verdict.

Over the past eight years, Tim has built a successful private practice where he has developed a strong reputation for honesty and integrity. He has represented police officers, small business owners, government agencies and individuals from all walks of life, many of whom have fallen on hard times who needed his help.

Tim is married to Suzanne, a special needs teacher in the Newton Public School system.
