FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                          CHARLESTOWN: Dennis Benzan—an attorney and community organizer who ran for State Senate last spring—has endorsed his former opponent Tim Flaherty in the September 14 Democratic Primary election.   "Tim Flaherty will put the people's interests ahead of the special interests,” said Benzan. “Tim will make our communities proud in the State Senate."   “Dennis Benzan ran a thoughtful campaign focused on the issues,” said Flaherty. “I am honored to have his endorsement and very pleased to have his help in reaching out to voters in the coming weeks.”   This is not the first time that Flaherty’s former opponents have backed his candidacy.
